All of us pride ourselves because of our physical appearances. The first lines we use to describe someone are generally descriptive of the persons color of the skin, hair or figure. What we see is what we speak. The physical body is our identity and we are known by it. We clothe it and decorate it with fancy wear and expensive accessories. We bathe it with fragrances and shampoo it often. As we age we look after it more and more. Some of us become obsessed with it and try out anti-aging creams and a sudden interest in workouts may begin. In spite of this body love we keep neglecting it. This is not done deliberately but only out of ignorance. Let me explain to you the importance of your body through the lens of past life therapy.
Consider the case of Shampa ( name changed) who had swelling in her fingers and knuckles for the last two years. Shampa was 28 years old and the doctor had diagnosed her with rheumatoid arthritis. This was really early onset and Shampa was shocked. The consulting doctor called me up and requested me to see Shampa for he was expecting her to become depressed after the diagnosis.
Shampa came to my clinic and sheepishly sat down. She mumbled that she had made a call to me more than a year ago but never came. I am used to this statement as many people have my number for many years but will only come when the time is right or there is a very strong calling for them to work on themselves spiritually. I asked her about the last few years and she tensed. Her fingers I noticed were spread out and unmoving. Her cheeks were puffed and eyes welled with tears. I allowed her to speak. In such a situation the therapist must not reassure but allow the person to express freely. Shampa began inaudibly and I allowed her to warm up.
She told me that her father was very aggressive since she was little and would beat his mother. She would be standing near the door and watch the violence. All the time she would be angry and want to stop it but because of her young age she was unable to change the situation. She would sit with her dolls and break the hands of the dolls. Her anger was expressed through her play. Her handwriting became worse and she failed in her papers. Her teachers were worried as this was not expected of her. Her report cards showed red lines. Her father began hitting her and started to spare her mother. There came a time when she decided to run away from home. She asked her boyfriend who was five years older to her to marry her. Her husband also turned out to be abusive. Her anger continued to increase and by the time she was 28 years old she had stored so much of anger that it was swelling out from her fingers.
Her body had been damaged. The problem had begun much earlier, what was visible now was just the end result. The anger if it had been nipped when she was young by psychotherapy, family therapy she would have been spared this debilitating illness. The body system is affected last. If the feelings and sensations of anger are resolved and healed the body will be untouched by trauma. The body too has a consciousness which has to release the trauma. This is difficult as it has already created changes in the physical body. If a bone or muscles have been affected past life therapy may not show complete recovery. The therapy can help in resolving the emotions and sensations and thus alleviate the symptoms of the physical condition.
Shampa was a subject of moderate trance as it was difficult for her to relax due to the pain. A technique called Woolgers Technique was done with her. Here massage is used progressively to relax the subject and put her into a trance state. Shampa felt every relaxed and slowly the induction process was begun. Shampa began to feel the past life than see it. The visuals were not clear but the muscles and skin were giving out pan. She felt that she was being tied with a rope. Her fingers, ankles and waist were feeling pain. She started to groan and wail. Someone is tying me up. I can’t move. In this situation the person must see the perpetrator. She had to be forced to look up and recognize the perpetrator. As she with great difficult looked up she saw herself staring into the eyes of her father. She started to cry and shake. The man whom she identified as her father in a past life was tying her up and shouting at her. There was another man who was standing beside her. As she looked at him she recognized him as her husband. She was panicking now. As I asked her to move ahead she felt that she was dying and her throat started suffocating. She was asked to watch the last thought coming up. She cried out as she was wanting revenge but was helpless as she didn’t consider herself powerful. She felt that she was incapable and expressed her desire to meet these two men in the next life and hurt them.
Shampa recognized that she met these two men in similar abusive situations and she had not equipped herself to fight them. The soul was in a hurry to be born. When this happens the soul is unable to fight her perpetrators and a similar life ensues. Shampa after this session felt much better at getting the answer to her abuse. She decided to leave her husband and get a job. She worked in a BPO and shared an apartment with three more girls. She enrolled for a distance degree program. Her husband somehow realized that he had been abusive and decided to sponser her education and also gave her alimony with which she was able to book a flat. This is the magic of past life therapy. Not only the person who is suffering can get healed but the decision can create a shift the other person. Shampa still has arthritis but it is in remission. She has become happier and joyful. She is behaving her age. Her parents have no contact with her which has worked in her favor. She does not have to cope with any family situation. She is becoming bold in her behavior. She has had many sessions after the first one and has continued to grow spiritually and personally.
Past life therapy works with your body consciousness to heal slowly. Once the persons emotions are transformed the bodily sensations also changes and so the healing of the body occurs sometimes partially but the condition becomes manageable.
I believe that once the fluid ever flowing emotional energy gets dislodged the physical condition become’s defocused from the mind which then is able to move into healthy patterns of thought.
Many cases of psoriasis and asthma as also migraine experience complete relief while of irritable bowel syndrome, tics and chronic fatigue partial. Of course there will always be some sticky ones like leucoderma, anorexia and hairfall where success rates are lower.
With the work getting more and more recognized I have no doubt that this too will see success.
Hello Dr Jayin
ReplyDeleteI came here through your facebook link. I have watched some of your TV programmes. I also attended a session of Dr Newton and I am onto practising anapanasati meditation as prescribed by Br Patriji whom I met first in 2000.
I am aware of the many hurts I have suffered since childhood but have not seriously pursued regression, though I can understand how the events in life are connected over several lifetimes. As you say, I believe there has to be a right time for things.
Looking forward to meeting you some day!
